Climbing pro made from knots??? Textile passive protection tested!

We finally tested soft nuts! We only tested this because you, our audience asked. And asked! And asked! This is easily our most requested test.

Our results:

►5mm Accessory cord

*Overhand bend slipped 5.6 kn.

* Figure 8 bend slid out at 4.65 kn and broke at 7.2 kn.

*Stopper bend broke at 6.25 kn.

►8mm dynamic rope.

*Overhand bend slipped at 5.4 kn.

*Figure bend slipped at 12.15 kn

*Stopper Bend slipped at 12.55 kn

►11mm Static rope

*Overhand bend slipped

*Stopper bend broke at 36.65 kn

*Barrel knot slipped at 12.1 kn

►Slings

*8mm Mammut Contact Sling with overhand broke at 8.4 kn.

*9/16" tubular webbing with overhand bend broke at 12.65 kn.

*1" tubular webbing broke at 15.65 kn.

►Soft Shackles

*4mm with overhand knot slipped at 6.20 kn

*5mm slipped at 17.95 kn

*6mm slipped at 32.85 kn

*8mm broke carabiner at 43.05
